The Projected Weekends series was established by the Digital Hub Development Agency to give independent creatives a platform in Dublin through which to showcase their work in the public domain.

A screen was installed in on Thomas St and a call for submissions was made. The response was phenomenal, and proposal were received from animators, film makers, performance artists, research groups, photographers & illustrators from countries including Ireland, UK, Italy, Germany, France, Spain, USA & Japan. Curated by Elaine Parsons at The Digital Hub, the work selected was showcased on the screen every weekend between September and April in 2006, 2007 & up to April 2008.

The Digital Hub would like to acknowledge the support of Diageo and Bank of Ireland James's St in facilitating the introduction our second Projected Weekends screen on Watling St for the duration of the 2009/2010 series.
