Interns – Dublin City Council Arts Office
Dublin City Council Arts Office is currently seeking interns for 2010. The internships are designed to extend interns knowledge and understanding of how a Local Authority Arts Office works. Internships will also have an opportunity to gain experience in the LAB Gallery and the Red Stables Artists Studios, which are Dublin City Council Arts buildings.

Duties may include updating databases, archiving, PR & marketing and general administrative support for the arts office programmes which include:
The Dublin Writers Festival (June)
The Public Art Programme
Bealtaine Festival (May) and arts programme for older people,
The Northside Music Festival (July –August)
Opera in the Open series (August)
The LAB Gallery programme (assisting in planning and preparation of exhibitions, preparing for exhibition openings, exhibition installation, liaising with artists etc)
The Red Stables Artists Studios programme
Neighbourhood Arts Programme

We are therefore interested in working with:
• Art graduates (music, visual art, film, dance, literature, theatre, architecture etc.)
• PR & Marketing graduates
• Event Management graduates
• Archivists
• Administrators

There may also be an opportunity to develop a personal project to your own interest that will be of benefit to the arts office.
Please note that this is an unpaid internship and is open to both graduates and professionals. Internships are available for three to six month duration with a minimum commitment of 3 days a week.
